The Maintenance Team Leader is actively engaged in planning, and
leads the daily activities of a team of millwrights, heavy duty
mechanics, oilers, maintenance helpers and contractors in the areas
of safety, quality and maintenance of all equipment and buildings
to meet the departmental and plant objectives. This is a salaried,
exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
The Maintenance Team Leader will plan, develop, manage and provide
effective leadership for the maintenance team by:
Ensuring the safety of all associates and contractors by
identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively
Leading and developing the maintenance team to ensure effective
communication across & between shifts and with the production
Utilizing preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled
Efficiently using reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure
uptime, production volume and quality goals are achieved.
Effectively use training resources to maximize team technical
Using computer-based programs to support effective
prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance
inventory, and assign maintenance resources.
Leads by proactively resolving associate and contractor issues,
building team work, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site
policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
Minimum 3 years? experience in a supervisory role in an
