Forklift Operator

Lavington B.C.

 

The forklift operator will be responsible for the safe operation of a 45,000 lb. capacity forklift while performing the duties of unloading the mill, loading and unloading trucks and rail cars as well as moving lumber in the yard.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with forklift operation in an industrial environment;
  • Must have a valid Counterbalance Forklift ticket;
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication & interpersonal skills;
  • Alignment with Tolko’s values of safety, respect, progressiveness, integrity, open communication and profit;
  • Ability to work mornings, afternoon and graveyards and weekends.
