AV Group is currently recruiting for a Business Excellence & Development Manager

Role Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Fibre Supply & Government Relations, the Business Excellence & Development Manager will play a key role in the Woodlands department. The Business Excellence & Development Manager will be expected to lead and track the success of process improvement initiatives with all stakeholders to improve current and new processes, drive efficiencies in the Woodlands operation as well as grow new business.

Responsibilities associated to this role include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate Lean principle training for Fibre Supply group
• Help team identify improvement opportunities
• Follow the DMAIC principles of Lean 6 Sigma
• Ensure the execution of savings initiatives
• Transfer accountability of improvement initiatives’ success to team members
• Evaluate team’s progress and performance through monitoring and measurement
• Build and maintain the initiative priority list, allowing the leadership team to prioritize the initiatives
• Coordinate decision-making with leadership team
• Assess and grow new business partnerships

Candidate qualifications:

• Bachelor degree
• A proven commitment to safety
• Lean and Six Sigma certifications with experience leading Six Sigma Teams
• Organized, with proven ability to manage deadlines and priorities
• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong written and spoken communication skills
• Experience in planning in an industrial environment
