Job Description

Weyerhaeuser Company is currently recruiting for a Green End Area
Coordinator for our OSB facility located in Edson, AB.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Green End Area Coordinator
is a leadership development opportunity and will be responsible for
the safe and efficient prioritization and coordination of processes
within the green end up to the dry bin(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standardize, define and measure equipment output
  • Set work standards for safety, quality and production
  • Prioritize work notifications, coordinate required operations
    and maintenance activities
  • Schedule outside resources
  • Measure key performance indicators for safety, quality,
    production and maintenance
  • Establish and maintain production and operation of control
    parameters
  • Continuously improve equipment performance
  • Meet production goals in the area to support upstream
    customer`s volume.
  • Lead process change projects ? MOC
  • Assist with annual budget and capital planning
  • Act as a facilitator for the area Lead Hands and Operators
  • Manage consumables in the area
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) program

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor`s degree in a related field will be considered a
    strong asset
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Capable of thinking logically and critically with excellent
    analytical skills
  • Must work well independently or as part of a team
  • Motivation, initiative, and a strong desire for personal growth
    and learning
  • Demonstrate the ability to focus on continuous improvement,
    developing innovative ideas, and improving systems
  • Ability to track/measure performance utilizing standard
    methods.
  • Proficient with PC software including MS Office, Network
    Applications, Proficy, SAP, MS Project.
  • Ownership and commitment to safety and risk assessment
  • Willingness and ability to wear all required personal
    protective equipment
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; candidates must be able to
    pass drug and alcohol screening
