Reporting to the Supervisor, Total Rewards, the Human Resources (HR) Student provides administrative support to the Total rewards team. Key accountabilities include managing data within Tolko’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system, responding to employee and manager inquiries, producing correspondence and other documents. The HR Student is also accountable for assisting with payroll transaction processing including entering and validating reports, supporting benefits processes and other tasks as assigned.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer orientation
Proven ability to work within a team as well as independently
Ability to multitask with strong prioritization and time management skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience using a Human Resources / Payroll system is considered an asset, but not required
