Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, the Planning Forester
will work with a team responsible for all timber development
activities. Our Planning Foresters enjoy a balanced mix of field
and office work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assistance in developing and updating 10 year harvest
  • Management area monitoring
  • Permit acquisition
  • Timber appraisals
  • Government and First Nations liaison
  • Development administration and supervision
  • Consultation with stakeholders

 The ideal candidate will

  • Registered Professional Forester designation
  • A minimum 3-5 years of relevant field experience (cruising,
    layout, site plans)
  • An attention to detail and the ability to clearly and concisely
    communicate management requirements in plans
  • Good interpersonal and computer skills
  • Experience with Arc Map and working knowledge of the appraisal
    system are assets

Candidates with lesser experience or qualifications may be
considered for this position or other positions within our
Woodlands Team, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
