Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Divisional Accounting Supervisor is responsible for leading the accounting and administration team; coordination and supervision of accounting personnel, procedures, systems and activities. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for forecast, budget and actual financial statement preparation for the division. This position is responsible to ensure that proper financial controls are adhered to and for supporting current and future initiatives and planning. The incumbent will be responsible for capital expenditure planning, authorization, project spending control and reporting.
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for accurate accumulation and reporting of production and financial information for use by Corporate office, Plant Manager, Sector Controller and divisional superintendents.
The divisional administration group is responsible for the processing of accounting information specifically relating to production, hourly payroll, shipping and accounts payable.
Internally, the position interfaces with woodlands department personnel, the IT department, production management, Vernon Office and other divisional, sector and corporate accounting staff. External contacts include company auditors, government auditors, company suppliers and miscellaneous receivable customers.
