Small town living on the door step of the Okanagan and Lower
Mainland. Princeton, BC is located at the juncture of the Tulameen
and Similkameen rivers approximately 1 ½ hours from Kelowna,
Penticton and Kamloops, and about 2 ½ hours from Vancouver. This

The starting rate for a Certified
Circular Saw Filer is $46.08.
Key Functions:
- This position is a full-time
permanent opportunity for a Certified Circular Saw Filer
responsible for supporting and safely executing the filing
activities for our lumber manufacturing facility. - Safely filing and maintaining
circular saws, machine alignment, maintaining saw filing equipment,
performing saw changes, and preventive maintenance procedures - Inspect equipment for signs of
wear/damage and recognize unsafe conditions
Requirements
- Certified Journeyperson Circular Saw Filer or Benchperson
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a sawmill environment
- Demonstrated leadership in mill safety processes and
consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to safety values - Experience with filing shop equipment calibration and
maintenance - Understanding of internal quality control and machine alignment
procedures - Experience tensioning and leveling saws
- Understanding of planned/preventive maintenance processes
- Produce quality work products
- Ability to effectively team with others in a rapid pace work
environment - Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving
skills - Basic computer skills
- Offers of employment will be conditional upon successful
completion of a substance testing, background check, fitness for
work testing, and agreement with general terms of employment.
