Our Hinton Pulp Division is seeking an
individual with strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal
skills to fill the following position: 


Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, the Critical
Systems Coordinator will be responsible for key infrastructure
systems such as fire systems, natural gas systems, cranes,
elevators, and other related assets.  As a member of this high
performing team, you will be responsible for working safely within
the pulp mill.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage workplace safety for you and your contractors
  • Maintain the integrity of fire systems including underground
    firewater piping, firewater pumps, fire hydrants, PIV’s, sprinkler
  • Administer all required weekly/monthly/annual testing of the
    fire system
  • Build and implement a crane, elevator, and natural gas system
    maintenance program
  • Develop and manage Capital and Major Maintenance projects
    relating to the Fire Systems, Elevators and Cranes.
  • Administer the Hinton Pulp Insurance Audit program

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A valid diploma or degree from an accredited post-secondary
    institution; Mechanical Technologist certification or Bachelor of
    Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering would be an asset
  • Experience in an industrial environment with ownership of
    infrastructure systems
  • A proven ability to build and implement systems
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Have the desire to learn, grow, and succeed
