Weyerhaeuser Drayton Valley is currently looking for a Materials
Manager with Capital Buyer responsibilities. This is a salaried
role providing administrative and functional support for on-site
storeroom operations and the mill. The position reports directly to
the mill Maintenance Manager, with a strong dotted line reporting
relationship to the Wood Products Canadian Capital and Area
Procurement Manager.
Key Functions:
Responsible for RFP process, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract
drafting, and issuing SAP Purchase Orders to material and service
providers.
Responsible for all investment recovery processes including
disposal of surplus inventory.
Site contact for Supplier Issue Resolution.
Safely process receipts, issue parts, accept deliveries, kit parts,
onsite distribution of parts/equipment/supplies, process outgoing
shipments, work wi

Required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous Storeroom and/or Warehouse experience in an industrial or
manufacturing environment, with a working knowledge of parts and
equipment.
SAP Experience
Demonstrated commitment to safe work behaviors and experience
leading and ensuring compliance with safety
initiatives.
Strong planning and organizational skills, work ethic, good
judgment, and decision-making skills.
Customer-oriented and focused (both internal and external
customers).
Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication
skills.
Committed to professional ethical standards.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
