Weyerhaeuser Drayton Valley is currently looking for a Materials
Manager with Capital Buyer responsibilities. This is a salaried
role providing administrative and functional support for on-site
storeroom operations and the mill. The position reports directly to
the mill Maintenance Manager, with a strong dotted line reporting
relationship to the Wood Products Canadian Capital and Area
Procurement Manager.

 


Key Functions:



  • Responsible for RFP process, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract
    drafting, and issuing SAP Purchase Orders to material and service
    providers.


  • Responsible for all investment recovery processes including
    disposal of surplus inventory.


  • Site contact for Supplier Issue Resolution.


  • Safely process receipts, issue parts, accept deliveries, kit parts,
    onsite distribution of parts/equipment/supplies, process outgoing
    shipments, work wi

Required
Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • Previous Storeroom and/or Warehouse experience in an industrial or
    manufacturing environment, with a working knowledge of parts and
    equipment.


  • SAP Experience


  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work behaviors and experience
    leading and ensuring compliance with safety
    initiatives.


  • Strong planning and organizational skills, work ethic, good
    judgment, and decision-making skills.


  • Customer-oriented and focused (both internal and external
    customers).


  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication
    skills.


  • Committed to professional ethical standards.


  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
