Weyerhaeuser’s
(Engineered Lumber Products) Timberstrand® manufacturing Plant,
located on beautiful Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario, is
currently seeking permanent full-time Certified Mechanical
Technician. Our plant manufactures high strength engineered wood
product Timberstrand® in a 24/7 operations, non-union,

We offer
a competitive total compensation and flexible benefits package.
With a competitive starting wage at $42.87. For the right
candidate we offer a relocation allowance and a hiring bonus of
$3000.00.
Reporting
to the Maintenance Team Lead the Certified Mechanical Technician
will be responsible for:
- Perform
maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of hydraulic
system and components - Perform
preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of
mechanical equipment issues - Perform
routine maintenance work on machinery - Use SAP
for Materials and Work Order Management - Basic
welding and fabrication. - Coordinate
contractor activities as required. - Keep
work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly
condition - Perform
duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory
manner - Complete
all jobs in a timely manner
Requirements
- Mechanical
Trades Qualification in an applicable discipline (must be certified
in a mechanical trade). - 3 – 5
Years in an industrial environment would be an asset. - Proven
analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Solid
computer skills in Microsoft Office. - Must be
willing to work on a rotating shift schedule that includes both
days and nights, 12-hour continuous shifts.
