Alberta Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac) is seeking a Millwright to work out of our mill site in Athabasca. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, resolving maintenance equipment reliability issues, and the planning and executing of predictive and preventative maintenance programs.

Role Responsibilities
Perform all required maintenance tasks in accordance with mill quality and mechanical standards.
Work and perform tasks in a safe manner.
Provide assistance and support as required to all trades and Operations team members to ensure maximum equipment availability.
Learn, understand and troubleshoot the Mill’s hydraulic systems.
Make recommendations for improvements to maintenance and production practices.
Maintain maintenance work records.
Perform basic housekeeping tasks and keep work areas clean.
Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Commitment to developing and maintaining technical knowledge.
Role Requirements
Alberta or Interprovincial Millwright Journeyperson Certificate an asset.
Have a high level of understanding and experience working with hydraulic systems and components.
Be a motivated, self-starting team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good problem-solving abilities and basic computer skills.
Must hold a valid driver’s license (GDL removed) with a clean driver’s abstract.
Must be willing to work shift work.
Must be comfortable working from heights.
