Our Hinton Pulp Division is seeking individuals
with strong technical, planning, organization and interpersonal
skills to fill the following position: 

ELECTRICAL
ENGINEER

Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, the Senior
Electrical Engineer will be a key player in overall plant asset
management and reliability supporting the safe production of
pulp.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Electrical Engineering for capital and maintenance
    projects
  • Contribute to Asset life cycle planning and continual
    maintenance
  • Maintain plant standards for electrical assets
  • All aspects of E&I change management workorder and project
    execution, planning, design, scoping, construction supervision,
    commissioning, and project completion

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited
    institution
  • Experience in an industrial environment with VFDs, PLCs, MCCs,
    DCS
  • Experience with various electrical systems (600V-13.8kV)
  • 5-10 years’ experience in an operating plant environment – Pulp
    Mill experience preferred
  • Demonstrated successful execution of E&I Projects including
    design, specification, contracting, install, commissioning, and
    operations/maintenance turnover.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
    with all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-solving and technical skills.
