Weyerhaeuser Hudson Bay OSB is
currently looking for 3rd class Power Engineer for
our facility. This position located in Hudson Bay,
Saskatchewan. The Hudson Bay OSB Mill is a market-focused
quality Oriented Strand Board (OSB) operation. This mill site
includes a Log Yard, Green End, Drying, Pressing, Finishing and
Shipping depts., Maintenance/Engineering. Annual production
is 540mm3/8. The workforce of Approximately 160 employees is
represented by the Steelworkers Union. This position reports to
Chief Power Engineer and will be responsible for the safe
operations and troubleshooting of the Thermal Energy Systems and
related equipment.
Responsibilities
Include:
- Complete area walkthroughs, equipment checks,
and control room duties - Maintain daily log-book entries
- Responsible for the operation and
troubleshooting of Reciprocating Grate Furnaces, Rotary Drum
Dryers, EFB Emissions, and related equipment - Use
mobile equipment as needed - Adhere to safety policies and environmental
regulations - Participate in preventative and corrective
maintenance programs - Other related duties, as assigned
Requirements
- High
School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) - Hold
a valid 4th Class Power Engineer Ticket (minimum
requirement) - 3rd
Class Power Engineer ticket preferred - Previous experience in a manufacturing facility
is preferred - Safety conscious and positive
attitude - Exhibit strong organizational and communication
skills - Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team
building skills
