Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking a full-time
Journeyman HVAC Technician at our Drayton Valley, AB Sawmill. We
are seeking individuals who are committed to safety & have a
desire to work in a team environment within a manufacturing
facility while maintaining a positive attitude and good work
ethic.
The
starting wage for this position is $48.536/per
hour.
This shift operates 5 – 8-hour
shifts, Monday to Friday *Note that there may be requirements to
occasionally work weekends for projects or some maintenance
items.
Key
Functions:
- System Installation & Maintenance: Install,
inspect, and maintain HVAC systems, and related
components. - Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and
repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, ensuring minimal downtime and
maximum efficiency. - Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute
preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of HVAC
equipment and avoid unexpected breakdowns. - Compliance: Ensure all HVAC work complies with
safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry
standards. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of
maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. - Collaboration: Work closely with other
maintenance staff and production teams to address equipment issues
and implement improvements. - Safety: Follow all safety protocols, including
the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to
safety procedures during maintenance and repair tasks.
Requirements
- Proven commitment to safe work
practices. - Must
have a valid Journeyman HVAC ticket. - Excellent computer skills and fluency in
standard Microsoft office products. - Plumbing/fitting experience is an
asset. - Demonstrated initiative with the ability to
prioritize and handle multiple projects effectively and
safely. - Excellent teamwork, cooperation and
problem-solving skills. - Ability to demonstrate open, honest and regular
exchange of information and treat all employees with respect and
dignity. - Excellent written, verbal, listening and overall
communication skills. - Must
be team oriented; puts team’s needs ahead of individual interests
and work to develop trust and respect. - Must
be willing to work any shift, including rotating shifts plus
weekends and holidays as operating conditions require. - Must
be willing to work overtime as operating conditions
require. - Willingness and physical ability to work at
heights, in confined spaces, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds,
and work in an industrial environment containing wood dust and
extreme heat and cold. - Maintains an acceptable attendance
record.
