I can’t believe its August and almost time to return back to online school. COVID-19 has really taken its toll on the world, and life has gotten some getting used to. Ah, the dreaded Generation Z. The group of 20-year old’s left to save what’s remaining of the planet. The ones who spend endless hours scrolling through Facebook and Instagram, frying our brains until no end. The ones responsible for removing all the plastic out of the ocean,the ones experiencing the repercussions of our ancestors, the ones who lack in life skills and the ones to stop climate change,

Innovation – what it means to me, and what it means to forestry

It’s that time of year when you start to wonder why the temperature is hitting 30 degrees and you realize “oh no, summer is half over”. That’s how I’ve felt this past week. I can’t believe that it’s already July and everyone is making the most of Canada’s birthday. I’ve had an interesting week in the field as I was given a new toy to reduce the risks of heat stroke associated with spending long days walking cut blocks.

Hey everyone!

I am so excited and thankful for this opportunity to share with you my summer working experiences! For my first blog, I really want to give you an insight as to what kind of person I am, and why of everything else, I chose forestry in the first place!
