We
currently have a full-time opportunity with our Yard Team. As a
member of this team, you will be responsible for safely and
efficiently performing multiple duties within the Log Yard,
Equipment Response, Mobile Machine Shop, and Lumber Yard
departments. This position will report to the Greenside Operations
Superintendent.
Key
Functions:
Operating shift will be 10 hours Friday – Monday
days only.
Operate and perform PMs on various mobile
equipment.
Operate log handling equipment when
required.
Operate support mobile equipment when
required.
Operate lumber yard forklifts when
required.
Assist Heavy Duty Mechanics in Mobile Shop when
required.
Wash
equipment as necessary.
Complete regular area maintenance (gravel &
dirt work, snow removal, de-barker deck & area cleaning,
etc.).
Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is
required.
A class 1/3 unrestricted driver’s
license – air brakes endorsed.
Behavior consistent with the Safety

Ability to meet all Team Norms and
Standards with a clear focus on active participation in the Safety
Program.
Physically able to perform the
role.
Self-motivated with Demonstrated
Leadership capabilities.
Strong aptitude for and experience
in heavy equipment operations.
Strong interpersonal, listening and
communication skills (verbal & written).
Ability to prioritize and learn
quickly.
Preference will be given to current
heavy equipment operators with applicable skills.
Willingness to wear all required
personal protective equipment.
Willingness to work OT, including
nights and weekdays as required.
Able to work in extreme
temperatures, in dusty and noisy conditions, while wearing safety
equipment.
Able to complete mobile equipment
training.
Able to lift 2-50 pounds regularly
and climb steps and ladders.
Must have basic computer
skills.
Must be able to work independently
as well as in a group.
Eligible to work in Canada without
sponsorship.
Ability to work within a team
setting.
Able to perform basic math and use
computers.
Industrial or Manufacturing
experience is a plus.
Experience in a self-directed team
environment is a plus.
A resume detailing education and
work history is required for consideration.
