Wow. How is it already September? Not only does that date mean that it’s time for the weather to get cold again, it also means that I only have four more months in BC until I head back to New Brunswick for a semester of school. Another thing September means is the end of the Green Dream blog for the summer.

Taylor’s Capital Project

These last two weeks have been very eventful for Canfor Pulp! Canfor Pulp Ltd. announced on July 26th that it will be undertaking two capital projects – one of which will be happening at the Taylor Pulp mill. The capital project in Taylor aims to improve the efficiency of the mill by using less energy to produce the same amount of product.

Blog #4: Seizing opportunities and facing fears

Since being offered my job with Canfor, I have tackled more things that scared me and taken advantage of more opportunities than I ever had in my life. Honestly, being offered this position was terrifying and, at the time, I couldn’t imagine leaving my friends and family. The thought of finishing my degree and graduating alone was something I never thought I would be capable of doing.

Before starting this post, I would like to address the terrible forest fires that have broken out in central British Columbia. There are so many amazing individuals from across Canada who have relocated to help fight the fires and assist in evacuations and keeping people safe. This is a devastating time for those losing their homes and land but an amazing demonstration of how Canadians band together for support.
