Job Description
Under the direction of an Operations Supervisor, the Forestry Technician is responsible for the following duties while working in a safe, timely, cost effective, and professional manner:
- forest development activities,
- road/cut block layout,
- timber cruising and drafting of associated plans,
- developing strong working relationships within your scope,
This position generally encompasses both field and office duties.
This is a unionized position, within the United Steelworkers Local 1—423. Compensation is governed by the Southern Interior Master Agreement. This position currently pays $35.60- $39.28/hour, depending on experience, education and skill level.
RPF/RFT/EFT certification is required.
Job Conditions
- Travelling may be required.
- Minimum experience: 2 to 5 years
- Minimum educational level: Bachelor Degree
