Job Description
When you join our team as a Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the mill equipment and the supervision of the maintenance crew while providing professional service and ensuring a safe working environment.
What You’ll Do
-Enforce the safety program for the maintenance department.
-Lead and initiate maintenance group with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
-Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
-Manage all site maintenance personnel.
-Support the maintenance personnel onsite to ensure that they are adequately trained and equipped to complete assigned maintenance duties.
-Participate with the hiring of maintenance personnel.
-Conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance technicians.
-Participate in the development and updating of operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
-Review the operation of plant equipment and systems, to minimize unplanned downtime and to identify opportunities for improvement.
-Identify potential projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
-Ensure proper tracking, analyzing and improvements of maintenance KPIs.
-Maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Job Conditions
- Minimum experience: 2 to 5 years
- Minimum educational level: Certificate/Diploma from a College or CEGEP
- Language: English
