About
Princeton Small town living on the doorstep of the Okanagan and
Lower Mainland. Princeton, BC is located at the
juncture of the Tulameen and Similkameen rivers approximately 1 ½
hours from Kelowna, Penticton and Kamloops, and about 2 ½ hours
from Vancouver. This beautiful community offers a pool, ice rink,
baseball fields, cross country ski trails, tennis courts, mountain
bike trails, a Jr. B hockey team, and several great restaurants
with a variety of foods. Princeton Lumber is one of the largest
employers in the community and has been in operation more than 50
years.
We
are seeking a Red Seal Auto Mechanic for the
maintenance and repair of trucks and mobile equipment at the lumber
mill. This position reports to the Fiber Optimization
Manager.
The current pay rate is $45.77, plus
union benefits.
Primary Responsibilities:
– Safely troubleshoot and repair
trucks and industrial mobile equipment.
– Complete preventative maintenance
responsibilities.
– Support the goals and objectives
of the overall maintenance team and mill
operations.
Requirements
– Red
Seal Journeyperson Auto Mechanic is required
– High School Diploma or equivalent
is required
– Minimum 3 years of related
experience in an industrial or auto shop
environment
– A passion and history for working
safely.
– Collaborates with the maintenance
team to deliver preventative and predictive maintenance
programs.
Shift: Day Shift consisting of
four 10-hour shifts, days worked between Monday to Friday
