Our Hinton Pulp Division is seeking individuals
with strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to
fill the following position: 

MAINTENANCE
TECHNOLOGIST

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance
Technologist will be a resource in elevating the maintainability of
assets by helping to develop and implement Maintenance
Strategies.  As a member of this high performing team, you
will be responsible for working safely within the Pulp Mill.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage workplace safety for you and your contractors.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of asset information.
  • Maintain current and correct OEM specifications, manuals, and
    procedures for plant assets.
  • Provide technical assistance to Maintenance Planners,
    Maintenance Supervisors and Craft Personnel.
  • Support the Reliability Engineer with supporting data that is
    specific to equipment maintainability.
  • Analyze process and/or failure to determine the need for
    improved craft skills.
  • Continuous improvement on Maintenance Processes and
    Systems.
  • Project Manager for assigned projects and maintenance
    activities within the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications:

  • A valid diploma from an accredited post-secondary
    institution.
  • Experience in an industrial environment with ownership of
    infrastructure systems
  • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical systems would be an
    asset.
  • A proven ability to build and implement systems
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical
    skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • The desire to progress, learn and succeed
