Division has an opportunity for an:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
CLERK
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role on our Quesnel
Plywood Finance team is a full-time, temporary position for
maternity coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Enter accounts payable into Oracle Financials
- Ensure invoices and cheque requests are properly supported and
approved - Review account coding and correct any miscoding
- Ensure the accuracy of sales tax (GST and PST) and identify and
calculate self-assessments where required - Match invoices to approval batches
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Manage front desk reception
- Provide month end accounting support
- Backup for payroll position
- Participate in cycle counts in warehouse
- Support to the team in additional junior duties as needed
Our ideal candidate would
have:
- Post-secondary training in administration or accounting or1 to
2 years experience in a similar role - Experience in Oracle accounts payable is an asset
- High degree of accuracy with numbers and strong attention to
detail - Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be flexible and be able to adjust to changing workloads
and tasks - Proficient with Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel skills
- A self-starter with the initiative to learn and grow
