Weyerhaeuser’s (Engineered Lumber Products) Timberstrand®
manufacturing Plant, located on beautiful Lake of the Woods in
Kenora, Ontario, is currently seeking permanent full-time
Production Supervisor.  Our plant manufactures the high
strength engineered wood product Timberstrand® in a 24/7
operations, non-union, manufacturing environment.  We believe

Key
Functions:

  • Promotes
    and demonstrates a strong focus on safety at all times
  • Provides
    all aspects of shift leadership to production, promoting the
    concepts of team work and associate involvement
  • Supports
    a respectful environment and encourages a positive attitude and
    cooperation within own team, as well as other departments within
    the plant
  • Provides
    planning and scheduling of production activites in conjunction with
    other shift supervisors
  • Assures
    the optimization of production effectiveness in the areas of
    safety, plant uptime, quality, housekeeping, environmental
    compliance, etc
  • Works
    cooperatively with maintenance to promote and implement
    preventative and predictive maintenance programs 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Completion
    of post-secondary education studies is an asset
  • Strong
    commitment to safe work practices 
  • Excellent
    communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Integrity
    and ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct all
    transactions in an ethical manner
  • Strong
    computer skills
  • Commitment
    to a diverse work environment
  • Strong
    organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must be
    able to prioritze and handle multiple tasks, initiatives, and
    willingness to take on challenges
  • Ability
    to problem solve, troubleshoot, and deal effectively with
    challenging situations
  • Previous
    experience in an industrial facility would be an asset
  • Previous
    supervisory experience in a progressive team environment would be
    an asset
  • Wood
    manufacturing leadership experience would be an asset

Requirements: Training

  • Successful
    applicants wil be provided with leadership support and
    training


Compensation
:
This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we
are targeting a salary range of $88,500 – $128,500 based on your
level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be
eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash
bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range
from zero to two times that target.
