Pulp and Environmental
Technologist
SCOPE
Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the Pulp and
Environmental Technologist will be part of a team with
responsibilities for all aspects of pulp, environmental, and
quality and work as part of the Technical Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Projects related to environmental compliance and/or
performance. - Audit testing methods
- Troubleshoot testing discrepancies
- Contribute to and/or coordinate process trials
- Contribute to customer quality investigations
- Perform non-routine testing
- Perform process checks
- Extract and use data from the data historian
- Perform statistical analyses
- Support regulatory reporting processes, as required
- Provide coverage for the shift environmental and pulp
technicians
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in a sciences field
- Laboratory-related experience in an analytical or industrial
setting - Be a dynamic, career-minded individual
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be highly motivated with proven organizational skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO
17025:2017 would be considered an asset. - Valid driver’s license
