Job Description
When you join our team as a Human Resources Generalist, under the leadership of the Human Resources Manager – Regional operations. We are searching for a trusted business partner providing HR advice and expertise and acting as a key member of the Matagami management team.
What You’ll Do:
-Build trusting relationships, provide expertise and support the mill in all aspects of HR including labour relations, hourly recruitment, onboarding, performance management, leave management, discipline and employee relations;
-Coordinate hourly payroll and benefits administration;
-Provide support to the operations mill leaders in identifying and addressing employee relations issues and concerns;
-Coordinate labor movement processes and employee training;
-Follow up on employee files with the CNESST and short-term disabilities;
-Support the Human Resources Manager in HR initiatives and projects;
-Administer Interfor policies and programs to ensure compliance that is consistent with our core values;
-Be active in the community, identifying activities to promote Interfor in the community and put in action diversity initiatives.
Job Conditions
- Minimum experience: 2 to 5 years
- Minimum educational level: Certificate/Diploma from a College or CEGEP
- Certifications:
- Driver’s licence
- Language: French
