Weyerhaeuser Company is currently
accepting applications for an Engineering Intern for our OSB
facility in Edson, AB.
This position will report to our
Capital Projects Manager and will work with our engineering
department on a variety of projects in wood products manufacturing.
This is an excellent development opportunity for current
engineering students.
This position will be 40 hours per
week, Monday through Friday, for a duration of 8 months. This is a
temporary, full-time position.

Key Intern
Functions:
- Assist with the organizing and
clean-up of engineering drawings - Planning processes for capital
projects - Resolving manufacturing issues
- Assisting the maintenance and
process control project teams - Assisting mill process owners in
optimizing process economics and process controls - Hands on field measuring
- Generating and altering autocad
files - Other duties/ projects as assigned
or required as needed
Requirements

Expectations:
- Dependability – punctual and

understanding critical safety behavior requirements - Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or
Industrial Engineering, with consideration for Electrical or
Chemical Engineering - Must be able to commit to an eight
(8) month internship - Verbal and written communication
skills - Technical writing capability
- Interpersonal skills and ability to
work within a team environment - Problem solving and analytical
skills - Organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Autocad experience
- Eligible to work in the Canada
without sponsorship - Ownership and commitment to safety
and risk assessment - Willingness and ability to wear all
required personal protective equipment - This is a safety sensitive
position; candidates must be able to pass drug and alcohol
screening
Compensation: We
are targeting a pay range of $25 – $31 per hour based on the
enrollment year completed by the successful candidate.
