I feel bad for my friends and family.
I’ll admit that I won’t stop talking about Tolko. Every time I see Tolko lumber wrappers passing by on the highway, or catch our product on the local train line, I have to mention it. You’ll definitely hear me gushing about our veneer too. If your house is made in part with Tolko Oriented Strand Board from our state-of-the-art operations in Meadow Lake, you’ll definitely hear about it when I visit your home. My face lights up every time I read an article about the company’s community contributions, and you had better be ready to put aside 10 minutes if you ask me about my employer.
It’s a sense of pride and ownership that tugs at your heartstrings just a little. It’s what pushes me to put on that Tolko pin on my lapel, and hang that Tolko lanyard on my neck.
I am proud of the company that I contribute to each day. I am proud that we are guided by the same, strong family values. I’m also proud of the work that Tolko does to contribute to a sustainable tomorrow – Tolko’s progressive forestry management practices, investment in green energy and cutting-edge biofuel projects are already making my hometown and nation a better place to be. I’m proud of the positive economic impact that Tolko makes when it creates long-term job opportunities above the living wage across Canada and opens new markets for Canadian resources.
