Hello! My name is Jeremy Woo, and I am a business student at the University of Calgary. Last year, I served as a human resources intern at Tolko Industries in my beautiful hometown of Vernon, British Columbia. I am incredibly excited to be back at Tolko’s corporate human resources department again, this time working with the compensation and benefits team on exciting new projects.

Now that I’ve rejoined Canada’s greenest workforce after a year of school, I find myself dreaming big once again. Here at Tolko, I’m unafraid to take control of my career and my lifestyle.

I’m dreaming big when it comes to my career. I clearly see that I have the opportunity to advance in corporate and operational settings. I’m already making real differences in the company through rewarding work in a professional setting, and I enjoy each challenge at every step. I really can’t wait to get to work every morning.

I’m dreaming big when it comes to my future. I’m in an industry that’s in expansion mode, and Tolko is no exception. I’m excited to be a part of a growing company with big aspirations.

I’m dreaming big when it comes to believing in what I do. Tolko is contributing to a greener tomorrow by committing to sustainable forestry practices and renewable energy. I feel good about what I do when I know that I’m contributing to a profitable, sustainable tomorrow for generations to come.
I’m dreaming big when it comes to company that shares values with me. Tolko isn’t just a company – every day, I see how my employer builds communities and supports families. Corporate citizenship isn’t just a phrase here – it’s a commitment.

I’m dreaming big when it comes to lifestyle. I can have my career and I can live in paradise. Mild winters, hot summers, warm lakes, sandy beaches, fresh powder, family and friends are all within minutes of my front door.

I’m dreaming big when it comes to buying a house. Thanks to competitive living wages in forestry and at Tolko, I can realistically dream of owning a great house with awesome Okanagan Valley views. I can live the family-focused lifestyle that I want to choose to live.

I can’t wait to share my big dreams with you as my term at Tolko continues. It’s great being back in the Greenest Workforce!
