Dreaming Big – Sleeping In

Thanks to the awesome team at Tolko, I really do love my job – but it doesn’t seem to make it any easier to pull myself out of bed on a Monday morning. I spent a little too much time dreaming big this morning – I slept right through my alarm. I got out of bed at around 7:30 AM, got myself ready and I was out the door by 7:50 AM for work at 8:00 AM.

If I was working back in Calgary, I would’ve been extraordinarily late with a sixty-minute commute through rush hour. Luckily, I’m in the Greenest Workforce, and life is better out here!

After a leisurely (and lawful) drive along an orchard-lined highway meandering through trees and acreages, I calmly parked at the office and waltzed up to the human resources office with a minute to spare – time enough to say hello to my cheerful colleagues.

Here in Vernon, there is no rush hour. There are no traffic jams or delays. It’s no wonder I get into work early most days.

I’ll be turning up my alarm a little louder now to keep me from dreaming too long and getting me into work a little earlier as usual, but I won’t stop dreaming big about a career at Tolko’s corporate office just a few minutes from where I sleep.
