Everything you wanted to know about culvert inspections

For this blog, I have created a quick video on what a culvert inspection is and a few things we look for when we go out to do these inspections.  To watch the video, just click the first link below.  I will be doing lots of these inspections through the summer, because I’m currently in charge of completing all the inspections for all the roads in Millar Western’s forest management plan, or FMP.  I also added a link below to the government manual for culvert inspections.  If you are interested, you can watch the video and go through the form, to see some of the main points I address on the video. If I get some positive feedback from this video, I am thinking about making a few more for my blog post, to record different events of my day.

Also, I’m glad to be receiving a lot of feedback to the survey I put out in my last blog.  I realize that you, my readers, are enjoying reading about the Whitecourt community.  I will take this into consideration when writing my upcoming blogs.

While the past week has been busy with culvert inspections, I did get a chance on the long weekend to visit Rotary Park here in Whitecourt.  The park is popular with locals, and I was able to go swimming to get relief from the heat. This was a great way to break up the week and makes me look forward to the next upcoming event that will be held at the Rotary Park.

Thanks for taking some time out of your busy life to read these blogs and, if you haven’t done so already, please take a few minutes to complete my survey.  Until next time, viewers!
