Since we always have our phones with us, the pictures on our phone give a good representation of where we’ve been and what captured our attention. So to sum up my experience in Slave Lake so far I would like to share some pictures from my phone.
Arriving at Edmonton Airport!
A lovely picture of the mill on a cold winter day
Workers from LDCQ Construction pouring concrete for biogas scrubber tank pads.
The sun setting behind shops on Main Street
Playing poker for the first time – and making it to the winners’ table – at SLP’s Poker Night
My car looking small yet awesome among several trucks at Northern Lakes College.
I would like to thank NLC for letting me stay at their residence – it made the move to Slave Lake a lot easier.
The Kranco Crane at the mill. It slides back and forth over a large rectangular pile of logs and feeds logs into the woodroom where they are de-barked and chipped.
One of my goals at the mill is to climb to the top of the crane before the end of my term.
And lastly, an icicle I found.
As you can see I’m wearing a safety vest, steel toe boots, and gloves to safely handle this icicle.
