When I tell my friends I am working Quality Control, a lot of them aren’t too sure what exactly the job entails. To be quite honest, I wasn’t even too sure what to expect. Today I have a special experience to share! In mid-May, I had the pleasure of participating in a Harlequin Duck capture program for three days. I have so much to share so I’m just going to dive in!
Harlequin Ducks (scientific name Histrionicus histrionicus)are a migratory species of duck that nest in the tributaries of high elevation streams and rivers.

Hello, my name is Jeff White. I grew up in 100 Mile House B.C. and am working this summer back in my hometown with West Fraser as a Planning Summer Student. I have not taken a traditional path to picking a career in forestry so I thought it would be best to explain a bit about my background and what made me choose to pursue a career in the forest industry.
