ESRI Application
Analyst

As part of the IT group, this role will provide support,
analysis, and development assistance for all ESRI technology that
supports the woodlands operations areas of the business.  The
ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of ESRI products and
a broad understanding of GIS concepts, techniques, and best
practices. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in
maintaining Oracle ArcSDE databases, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server,
ArcGIS Datastore. Candidates should have the ability to work in a
dynamic environment and a willingness to troubleshoot technical
issues.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying opportunities for improvement with our inventory
    management technologies and implementing them
  • Providing top tier technical support
  • Defining technical solutions to business challenges
  • Being a lead resource in projects implementing new technologies
    to support strategic initiatives
  • Integrating into a team of professionals motivated to use
    technology to give our organization a competitive advantage
  • Your specific technology responsibilities will include:
    • ArcSDE Database administration
      • User and Security management
      • Databases Tuning
      • Data loading
    • ArcGIS Enterprise Administration
      • Upgrades
      • User/Security management
      • Geoprocessing services
    • Setup, Manage, customizations of GIS Web Mapping applications
      based on ESRI’s Web app builder Developer
    • Python Automation
      • GIS automation workflows
      • GIS python/model builder toolboxes
    • Imagery data processing
      • Raster processing
      • Caching image services
    • Provide environmental field survey support
      • ArcGIS Collector
      • Survey123
      • ArcGIS Navigator

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Four-year university or technical institute degree in the field
    of computer science or engineering or equivalent work
    experience
  • Well-established organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detailed and proactive approach to work
  • Proficient skill in cartography as well as coordinate systems
    and projections
  • Proficient skill and experience with multi-user geodatabase
    workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency using ESRI ArcGIS for Desktop or ArcGIS
    Pro
  • Demonstrated programming experience using Python and SQL
  • Proficiency in geospatial and statistical methods and
    analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge regarding best practices for
    cartographic design, metadata documentation, and projected
    coordinate systems
  • JavaScript experience is an advantage
  • Systems integration, interface design, data conversion and
    solution architecture
